Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Associates Degree
  • 1+ years business license or accounting experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required, strong Excel skills needed
  • Experience with License HQ, or another business licensing application
  • Detail-oriented, team player with a strong work ethic
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage significant amounts of electronic data
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to adjust to shifting priorities
  • Ability to work extended hours as required to meet internal and external deadlines
  • Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and prepare business license compliance process for assigned locations
  • Log & clear notices issued by licensing jurisdictions
  • Prepare, obtain signatures when required, and make licensing payments as needed
  • Provide timely answers to certain questions from colleagues in field operations
  • Assist with preparation of complicated business licensing or tax filings
  • Obtain and renew annual business licenses & sales tax permits and enter into License HQ
  • Identify best practices within the role and strive to improves processes and efficiencies
  • Organize & file various records as needed, and strive to keep a paperless environment
  • Research local licensing requirements and needs
  • Participate in supporting audit defense for licensing and sales tax audits
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
